Hello, I'm Hannah! Thanks for checking out my work, and wanting to get to know a little more about me.

 

In a nutshell, I'm a Type-A creative with an exceptional work ethic and a lot of ideas. I pride myself on being a tenacious lady with a strong sense of integrity, which makes me a valuable team member and leader. I have a natural tendency to strive for excellence and an appetite to always keep learning. I'm both a strategist and an executor, and I thoroughly enjoy making the impossible possible. I strongly believe collaboration is key in my field, and I thrive when working with diverse groups of people to create content that really connects with viewers.

 

I see video production as a means to spark conversation, inform and entertain. I'm currently employed at CinemaBlend, where I've grown their video department from the ground up. I became the lead of the CinemaBlend video production team after one year, and I now head video content creation for its editorial platforms and partnered brands. At CinemaBlend, where I produce videos about movies and television, my larger goal is to provide an escape from the madness of current events. From scripting and storyboarding, to filming and editing, I approach each new project as an opportunity to create something engaging and meaningful to the audience. There's a lot of noise on the internet. If a viewer is giving me their time to watch my video, I want to make sure they get something out of it. Sometimes this means teaching them something new or discussing complex issues. Other times it simply means I'm going to rant about the ending of "Game of Thrones" in an attempt to amuse you and make you feel validated. (YES, I'm a Dany stan. NO, I will never be over her rushed 'Mad Queen' arc.)

Working to grow CinemaBlend's video efforts has been a great fit because I love movies and I've always been passionate about filmmaking. I love experimenting with new methods of storytelling, and I look forward to continuing this exploration in my career. I started in broadcast news journalism, where I established a solid foundation of storytelling principles that continue to serve me well as I navigate the entertainment industry.

 

Wherever my career takes me, I ultimately aim to make the most of each new opportunity that comes my way. And one day, I even hope to be able to kill a spider without using a vacuum.
